Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy? He's tall for his age, and active, but it's greyhound-whipcord; he doesn't really have any extra weight to lose, nor does any of it go to bulk. There's also a visible bit of difference between whether or not he's bolstering himself with illusions - he's still recovering from several months in a tank and the injuries Spade left him with, which means that if he were to completely cut the illusions off or have them blocked, he'd be thinner, a little more skin and bones, and a little less "healthy" physically.
2. How old is he? Fifteen! No, he doesn't act it.
3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch? Lord of all he surveys. Seriously though, he's usually carrying himself pretty dominant/composed, as much as it's not uptight-rigid.
4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities? For what he's been through, he's in excellent shape; as mentioned above, he's still recovering a little from the Vendice and Spade.
5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid? Like a big cat, really; perfectly fluid and graceful, but depending on what's going on there's a fairly coiled-spring undercurrent to it.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror? Can I just get a do not feed the ego sign?
7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred? Light/middling, and clear mostly; he's got some scars - there's faint ones around his right eye where it was implanted, and presumably some others from the experiments that aren't normally visible. He's also probably got some new scars from when Spade had his body.
8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style. Welp, canon has it sort of dark blue-black, usually kept somewhat short- jaw-length, really - straight, and don't even ask me to explain the pineapple thing.
9. What color are his eyes? Heterochromatic, and not naturally. The natural eye is a fairly deep blue, while the implanted eye is bright, vivid red, and tends to have a "normal pupil" overtaken with a number-kanji reacting to whatever Path is dominant. If something blocks his powers, the red one has no pupil, but will still track normally, and he doesn't seem to have any visual impairment.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features? Besides carrying himself older than his actual age? There's presumably a bar-code tattoo similar to the ones Ken and Chikusa have; headcanon has it on his back, on his right shoulder-blade.
11. What are his chief tension centers? Oddly enough, his usual carriage doesn't seem to suggest much in the way of a focused "tension center"; outside of fights and situations that'd warrant a lot of tension for the short term, for all the "coiled spring underneath" he's pretty releaxed in posture.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit? He's both a bit preening-ego and a little eccentric; there's some of what he wears that nobody else would probably be able to pull off. What he's been most known for is a fairly close-fitting purple camo-print shirt and army green jacket/slacks modeled after a uniform.
13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them? He has enough ego to not really wear something that DOESN'T fit well, and as odd as some of his clothes are, it's all things he can move in freely.
14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences? There isn't really a difference. It changes as he gets older, and he isn't always in the same clothes, but.
15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate? Evenly and clearly; he's more likely to play "wait and watch" than hesitate unless something is seriously wrong.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics? Not overmuch. His Japanese should probably be italian-accented, but as much as he's been in the back of Chrome's skull, he's probably Second-pathed the language barrier there into oblivion enough to get better than he should be by osmosis.
4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency? Italian and Japanese. While his ambitions would hint at him needing to speak other langauges, there's not really any clear way for him to've learned anything else yet.
5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations? It's entirely likely that some of his interactions with Ken, Chikusa, and MM are in Italian, but for the most part, he's only been seen dealing primarily with Japanese-speakers. It's more of a "what will be understood" than anything.
6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words? He's a Mist User. Being able to bullshit is his life.
7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change? He manages to sound intelligent and like he's got more of an education than is actually possible given his background.
Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart? He's got to be fairly genius-level. It's really more the latter than the former, or at least survival-learning and things he's learned by observation; he's been on the run most of his life.
2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate? For all his Xanatos gambit-ing, he's doing most of it on the fly; his plans do seem to be fairly adaptable in most cases and he's used to reconstructing things as he goes.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical? Balanced on logical/intuitive; he's very calculating, but there's still a point where he ends up relying on instinct and intuition. As for the other part, he's mostly more practical than idealistic...although his "ideals" aren't really what most people would think of when they hear the word.
4. What kind of education has the character had? Well, we can probably assume that Lancia's family had been tutoring him, which would account for maybe a third-grade education; after that, he's been on the run, so most of what he knows of book-smart subjects is probably self-taught and mooched.
5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about? Survival, tactics, manipulation, playing off people's perceptions, practical knowledge of behavioral-psych, subterfuge and intrigue. Also he's very good at killing things, and seems familiar with Buddhist lore and ideology. As for learning more, if a subject manages to catch his attention he can be an information sponge, although it usually does need to register as "useful".
6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert? He's a post-breakaway Weapon CEEB, which puts him in a class all its own of "Introvert"; not only does he not enjoy excessive social interaction, it's mostly alien to him, and something he does as a means to an end, not something he seeks out on his own. Other people are dangerous things and often targets to be kept the fuck over there.
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven? He can occasionally be very surface-moody, and certain things can push buttons and get him more agitated, but for the most part he's relatively stable and even-tempered; mood shifts come and go fairly smoothly and without a huge amount of extremes. He plays outwardly calm, but is usually pretty driven and in need of SOMETHING to be doing underneath that.
8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic? Suspicious, cautious, and you probably won't actually see him; given the choice, he prefers to hide out and spy on things first, and then decide how to approach it.
9. Is he more likely to act, or to react? Either depending on circumstances. He prefers to keep control of the situation as much as possible, but there's a fairly limited scope of things he can actually CONTROL and not just nudge right now.
10. Which is his default: fight or flight? Context-based. He's a survivalist; as a weapon, he's perfectly happy to fight if he's confident in his odds, and he's usually more likely to err towards fight, but he's too pragmatic for that to be something he can't sit on in favor of hiding/running.
11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks? Snark, black humor, sarcasm, satire, being amused at head games.
12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them? ...I don't know that there is a "diagnosable disorder" for what he is; he barely qualifies as "human psychology" even.
13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person? Being given up for experiments too young for him to remember anything before it; the eye implant functioning, allowing him to end up massacring his entire Family. Adopting Ken and Chikusa. Also when he finally wiped out Lancia's family and ended up on the run. More recently, losing to Tsuna and ending up imprisoned by the Vendice, adopting Chrome as a face, then agreeing to be Tsuna's Mist Guardian and setting himself up in the Vongola's orbit.
14. What does he fear? Being made a lab rat or someone's weapon again; being helpless, being caged and TRULY unable to escape.
15. What are his hopes or aspirations? Tangled. He's still got some desire to lash out at anything that vaguely is like his creators, which means that he loathes the Mafia and underworld organizations, and doesn't much care for any large power structure of any sort, and would still happily annihilate them all. Other than that, he's sort of an unguided missile, although he's protective of Chrome, Ken, Chikusa, and Fran, and seems to've settled into habit as the Mist Guardian whether he admits it or not.
16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him? He's not completely a heartless bastard - he's bad at processing relationships, and it's hellishly hard to get him attached to you, but he DOES actually have a short list of people he cares about. Also the "unguided missile" thing; he doesn't actually HAVE any good long term plans or ideas of purpose, and he's uncomfortable with the idea of giving up control to someone else to throw in completely on anything.
Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents. His parents handed him over to be a lab rat and weapon. They may've been among the people he slaughtered when he turned on the lab, he doesn't know or care; if he does find them still alive, they probably won't stay that way for long, just for the sake of clearing ledgers and getting rid of people associated with that.
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like? Unknown if he has any actual siblings; if he did, they're probably dead now.
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand? If they're still alive, it's only because he hasn't found them yet.
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them? Ken and Chikusa are probably the closest thing he has to "siblings", being other experiment-refugees that he's adopted. His relationship with Chrome is odd, to say the least, but a strong tie, and it's probably a good thing Fran is, himself, kind of a freak and therefore able to take Mukuro's lack of real ability to handle interpersonal relationships in stride.
5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet? I don't think he's entirely processed the "Friend" word. Probably Chrome; Ken and Chikusa are people he's responsible for that depend on him where he's basically "Master", and Fran's still a new and strange thing that happens to be there. As for how they met, he rescued Chrome from the hospital when her family left her for dead missing half her internal organs, and she acted as his eyes, ears, hands, and host-body for the time he was in the Water Prison.
6. Does he have other close friends? Well, he tolerates MM fairly well and seems to consider her useful and loyal enough to keep around.
7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people? ...................................
Give me a minute while I stop laughing.
Notice how none of his close relationships above really fit normal definitions of "friendship" or any kind of normal close interpersonal relationship?
He doesn't even really have a frame of reference for how to relate to people in any kind of normal fashion; other people are basically threat/target until proven otherwise, and he's only just getting some people that kind of, sort of, might prove otherwise, maybe, depending on how things go. He can be perfectly affable and charismatic in an occasionally unsettling way, but he doesn't get along with people.
8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends? .................................Well, if you're "family" you're probably dead, if you're not dead you will be when he finds you, and he has no proper frame of reference for "friend", soooo...
9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once? Uhm, single. And if you want anything resembling a healthy relationship, you'd need to find someone who's very good with CEEB-psych and dealing with him being Not A Human Wormbaby, and probably wait a while for him to get some kind of working understanding of relationships with other people outside of the narrow little rubricks he's allowed so far.
10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse? ...................................Well, Chrome has what seems to be one Hell of a crush on him. MM also seems to want in his pants, but she probably has a snowflake's chance in Hell.
11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest? You know that comment about how he doesn't really understand yet how to deal with/process emotional bonds with others outside of certain incredibly abnormal rubricks?
12. What does he look for in a romantic partner?
13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any? FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT LET HIM HAVE KIDS. He does seem to have some instinct for adopting other CEEBs/REALLY FREAKING BROKEN outcasts with nowhere else to go, but no. Normal children are a no. No no no no no no no. Just no. Bad bad bad bad bad idea.
14. Does he have any rivals or enemies?
15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale? He's probably some sort of demisexual - the other hoops you'd have to get through for him to be comfortable enough with you to hit that are strenuous enough that by the time you've managed to get past all of that, it probably doesn't matter.
16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him? ...It is a thing that is over that way that people do where it can be a button to manipulate them. Unfortunately, the skittish cat "do not like other people close, want control over situation, do not trust other people" is WAY more important than silly things like physical affection.
17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits? Turn ons: Managing to somehow get to where you don't register as a "threat" on his radar, being interesting in some significant aspect, and a lot of luck/something to keep him interested enough to want to get that close.
Good fucking luck with that first one.
Turn offs: Registering on his mental threat radar, at all. Note that for most people this is accomplished by breathing.
Weird bedroom habits: ...uhm. You know he's someone where "Normal" is a setting on a dryer, right?
Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does he fit type? Gemini, Water Rooster.
Hmmm, two-faced unstable generally even-tempered but unpredictable and simultaneously incredibly patient/calculating while also easily distracted and easily bored. Gee, no idea where they'd get that from.
Also emotionally fluid, adaptable, with a strong eye for detail and an almost certifiable need to fix things/be in control, a stubborn streak a mile wide, and a tendency to not grasp why their words might put people off, yet still oddly charismatic and capable. Mmyep.
2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life? ......Uhm. It's complicated. Technically speaking what he draws on puts his roots firmly in Buddhism, but he's very obviously NOT following the Eightfold Path in a way that'd be expected of a human. MUN suspicion is that technically speaking he does identify as a sort of Buddhist, but it's filtered through that whole self-identity as something NOT HUMAN, which renders the Eightfold Path as followed by a human something that wouldn't fit; instead, he's basically taken the thing with having ties to the entire cycle, filtered it through being a Weapon, and ended up with something where he's trying to function as a walking embodiment of karmic backlash/divine purification/retribution.
Of course, it's still being filtered through the perspective of a teenage Weapon-CEEB with what started out as a VERY skewed perspective.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it? HE DOES!
Just not a human one. It's also somewhat fluid considering that it's based in transcendence of mortal concerns, which means that "compromising" it is a little oxymoronic.
4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent? Indifferent! He doesn't care. In fact, he gives so few fucks that there are negative fucks to give. You might be able to annoy him with it if you're overly loud/stupid, but really, all that proves is that you're stupid.
5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them? He hates anything related to the Mafia. Considering that it's a bit of a connect the dots that his creators were a Mafia family, and they kind of tortured him for the first six or seven years of his life, it's not really baseless. It's extended to anyone in a position of power that's corrupt, among other things.
Also he kind of dislikes most of humanity, but it's an equal opportunity misanthropy! He dislikes you all equally.
Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt? .................Okay, the Kokuyo gang lives off the equivalent of two dollars a week per person, and it's hard to tell how they even get that much - probably Mukuro embezzling/stealing from some of the mafia families as he can get away with it. They live in an abandoned amusement park.
2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him? He's an escaped weapon of mass destruction turned ex-con, for the most part, and you can figure how well that goes, especially when the part of society he's ex-con from is the underworld. More recently, he's also one of the Vongola Mist Guardians, which has suddenly granted him and his some degree of immunity and seems to've been generally agreed to be a gig worth keeping for the time being for pragmatism's sake, although long-term plans for that are very tangled and something where I'm not sure even he knows what he's doing/what he wants.
3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others? Abandoned amusement park. More specifically, he tends to lair in the old movie theatre. It looks like something out of a horror movie.
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on? ... Honestly, besides clothes, and that he does wear some jewelry, there doesn't seem to be much that he'd CARE about. At some point down the line, he probably DOES have a bar-code tattoo like Ken and Chikusa somewhere that I could see him covering over, but that'd be about it. He does read.
This is also assuming he's necessarily actually PAYING for anything he's getting, and not just abusing his powers to ninja it.
5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else? Uhm, as far as earning money, he's probably stealing from various underworld types. As far as other things, he's basically a gang leader as well as loosely associated with the Vongola. He's doing perfectly well at it, but he's still a little "Unguided missile"/"not sure of direction" beyond "destroy all the things that register as bad".
6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time? Reading, herding Ken and Chikusa, practice with his powers, spying on everything fucking ever. Sometimes one or more of these overlaps!
7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods? Not nearly enough. He's capable of resorting to scavenger instinct and eating damn near anything, and probably has had to when he was younger, though he'd rather have real food and probably abuses powers to get it. He also has no clue how to cook, so it's pretty much swipe/steal/scavenge stuff that's edible on its own or easily prepared. He's also probably bad at forgetting to eat for periods of time, or grabbing as the getting's good and going without in between. Canonly there is a preference for fruit (yes the pineapple thing is more than a bad joke), and a dislike of spicy food.
His relationship with alcohol is probably uncertain; I doubt he's really HAD alcohol has yet, and he's liable to bat at it a bit and be a little more cautious/unlikely to drink much.
